Last night we had the opportunity to gig out in a large venue with about a 10,000 sqft dance floor. We wall loaded our 4 3012LF loaded T30s (2 18" and 2" 30") and let them rip this was a very diverse crowd and the playlist literally covered all kinds of genres. We have a V Plate but forgot to bring it and this gig was an hour and a half away from home so going back to get it wasn't an option. Well it didn't matter and honestly after last night I am a true believer. If you are a DJ and are on the fence about building these cabs stop waiting and start building. We played them for nearly 5 hours with out a hiccup TONS of low clean bass the bass filled the entire room nicely. The venue has 4 18" EV subwoofers that they normally use but we chose to use ours and the manager commented on how weak and thin his subwoofers sounded. In fact after the dance was over he turned his on and couldn't believe the difference. He was floored when we told him they were 12" speakers.
What I'd really like to emphasize on this review is the size of the T30 they are so conveniently sized. The dimensions and weight make them very easy to transport and lift/move. We put 4 casters on the back of each of ours and they roll easily. I have said this before but I am going to build 4 more 18" wide. I will also note that we never exceeded 25 volts of input the whole night.
We still haven't had the need to corner load and V plate the stack.
T30s in 10,000+ sqft venue

You always want to take advantage of as many freebie methods as possible. The extra sensitivity means that you don't have to crank your amps as much to achieve a given SPL. Less heat is ALWAYS better.Jasen Chandler wrote:We still haven't had the need to corner load and V plate the stack.
Glad to hear that the gig went well!
