In my set up I have a Mackie amp. One channel is for 1 Wedge10 and the other is for 2 Wedge 10's daisied.
The lead singer with 2 had problems saying one or both where going out. I couldn't tell I was behind the kit.
Now correct me if I am wrong; Is one channel 4 ohm load (2 W10's) and the other an 8ohm load with one wedge?

Would this cause one amp channel to be knocked out?

Not unless it's sick. You could hardly be over driving it with two wedges.

Good luck finding the fault. Very hard to chase things that are off and on at random.

I've had that happen with two W8-s on an amp channel. As far as a I could tell the amp wasn't happy about the piezo load. I could probably have fixed that by raising the series resistor, but decided the amp wasn't really up to the task. Haven't had it happen since.

+1. I have a Tapco J-1400 (Mackie built the amp) and it does not like piezos at all.

If it don't like the piezos than what are my options?

I'm not sure about what to do. Get your lead singer some hearing tests? If a WH10 isn't enough, he has serious hearing problems.

You can try raising the series resistor for the piezos to 10 ohms. That'll tame the capacitance a bit, but possibly result in a slight loss of top end.

The correct answer is really to have a better Zobel network on the output of the amp, since the issue can also be with the capacitance of the cables. However, that's a bit of an overly technical solution for most of us. If possible you could try using shorter cables.

The cables are speakon and are 25' runs with a 3' between the 2 that are daisied.
I only have that wedge infront of me to look at the filters. (which look fine)
I think I am going to bring the whole system home and look at it closer.
