They were finally fired up in a set of three tonight and we watched the latest Star Trek movie. Simply breathtaking. Like when Spock and Kirk are next to the fire talking you could hear the resonance in the voices and the rustle and crackling of the fire with neither one of them drowning each other out. From about 6' we had to turn it down for being too much and it was already turned down quite a bit. From across the garage behind the Wayfarer it was actually even better as the sound melded even better.
We could not stop watching it. WOW!!!!.
I just spent a bit of time listening to stuff in out local Best Buy and would not trade for any of it!!! Not a chance!!! NONE!!! I will take my SLAs thank you.
The RTA on his Droid showed to be almost completely flat (slight downward slope bass to treble) until you get way off axis (about 70 degrees) and then the highs about about 8K started to wain noticeably.
Bill, Sir, these things Freakin' ROCK!!!!
Set up was L&R on the Sansui and C&T24 (as L&R) on second set of speakers for movie time. How you get that much clarity of being able to pick out all that detail and still hear everything else in that level of detail so that nothing gets buried is amazing. Was reminiscent of going to one of the IMax theators.
Unbelievable.
Bill, Leland, baronvonsteve, and all the rest of you who have helped me learn so much Thank You.
