Yeah lesson learned, i knew i had to do it first but then i forgot and he said that so hahahh but today i glued the baffle and it looks perfect, with precise and lost time measurements done lol Yeah i looked inside with my smartphone video recording, everything sits properly but i had to be very very meticulous :)

Everything seems good, i build the wooden frame for a grill cloth, black, it will be quicker for me and cheaper than a metal grill, also a lot lighter.

So i was wondering if the same amount of power goes into the woofers and tweeters, tweeters are 25w and have higher sensitivity than the woofers, so isn't that like too much for the tweeters? I guess i'm understanding it wrong? I thought if both woofers are 4ohm together in parallel, tweeters same thing, then each are 4ohm so they get the same amount from the amp?

With every octave increase in frequency the actual power density of the signal is halved.

I was reading on phase today and realised tweeters are using a 4th order and woofer 2nd order, isn't that makes the tweeters at 360degrees (same as 0 degrees ?) and the woofers are 180 degrees?
I read 90 degree shift on each filter order...
Thanks :)

You're overthinking this. Follow the plans.

Yes i do, or course, the best i can, but meanwhile when i dont have the opportunity to actualy build it in the workshop i read online because i like to understand the best i can... I know you can't explain to me everything, sorry about that.

So i can see i can get the crossover parts here for the same price as the kits on speakerhardware.com because i'm in canada, currency conversion, shipping, import fees and all that, but using Polypropylene caps > 200v rating, no electrolytics. All the same values as mentionned in the build guide, dcr very low as suggested. I'm good to go ? :)

The problem is that not everything you read on line is correct, not by a long shot.

You must use the type of caps as per the plans to get the right response curve and cutoff.
I can't remember correctly if the electolytics are used for "coarse" adjustment, and the poly for fine-tuning, ... or, if I got that backwards.

Oh really? I thought it was the caps and inductor values and placement that made the curve and cutoff settings.
Say you compare some with the same specs for caps except it's a poly instead of elect would make a difference in a bad way?

I'm on the market for a metal grill, in montreal canada, if any suggestions please let me know, so far i have one near here fx lange that has some, it might be a bit too thick too i'll see tomorow. I have to forget the idea of a wooden frame with grill cloth because of that top tweeter is so close to the triangle open port. Grill looks sick, a bit more expensive but i'll be worth it :)
