For a T39, nothing I've played is more impressive than Tiesto - Chasing summers.

The new daft punk song Doin' it right has a rather hot bass track. 60% of the bass hits are 50-70 Hz but every third or so is 30-50 recorded ~+6 dB and i'm sure would shake some walls. If you're into chill groovy tunes check it out, great vibes.

Re: Bassiest songs you've put through your BFM system?
Heres a list of mainstream (hip-hop) songs in my collection that have exceptionally low bass (all of my reference frequencies are using Glisseq and are the -3db down points of the average/lowest bass hit).
Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home) - Usher 12 hz
In This Thang - Tyga 15 hz
Put On feat. Kanye West - young jeezy 16. Hz
White Girl [Prod. by Drumma Boy] - young jeezy - 16 Hz
Put It Down - T-Pain - 18 Hz
Slow Down(Remix) - clyde carson - 18 Hz
Soul Survivor (ft. Akon) - Young Jeezy - 18 Hz
Dump Truck - E-40 - 19 Hz
Rack City - Tyga - 20 Hz
On My Level (feat. Too $hort) - Wiz Khalifa - 20 Hz
Outta Your Mind - Lil Jon - 21 Hz
Moments - Bei Maejor - 22Hz
Rack City (Victor Niglio Remix) - Tyga - 23 Hz (don't play w/out limiter, it is ridiculously hot on bass)
Poppin Bottles (Feat. Drake) - T.i. - 24 Hz
Poor Man's Hydraulics - E-40 - 24 Hz
One Of Those Nights - Juicy J - 24 Hz
Shawty Say [Featuring Lil Wayne] - David Banner - 25 Hz
Who's Ya Daddy - Juvenile - 27 Hz
Look What I Got - T.i. - 23 Hz (undertone)
Turnin Me On - Keri Hilson - 25 Hz
I have more but anyone who wants to throw a party and has a THT/T60 should give those a try. They'll be on my demo list as soon as I have one/more than one

Re: Bassiest songs you've put through your BFM system?
I mistakenly posted this Tips, Techniques and Supplier Links so here it is where it belongs.
PETER GABRIEL - THE BIG ROOM SESSION 2003
http://bigozine2.com/roio/?p=652
Then my Autotuba began to try to assault me with more low end than I've heard from anything other than test tones.
I had to cut the amp output in half! I used to sell high end audio and we used to hunt for disks (this was circa 1979) that had strong low end to show off with. (remember the real canons in the Telarc 1812 Overture recording?)
I've listened to plenty of electronica here that may do the same but I'm an old guy and it's pretty repetitive so I get bored. This is Peter Gabriel and I've not heard a rock recording with more bass. I'd imagine that they either doubled Tony Levin's bass lines with synth bass or he's using a sub-harmonic synthesizer. There certainly wasn't this kind of bass at his recent So concert.
You see if I'm right or not. Try "Shock the Monkey" but turn the bottom down to stat with. I think the low end is just off the hook.
Another benefit of the BigO site is that all the tracks are downloadable.

I haven't read all this thread, but K Wang was requested at a wedding reception last weekend...it was very impressive with two 18" T30's.

I have a pair of MFW-15's, I know what 20 Hz is... If you don't believe me trust this spectrum I just took of it... I clearly stated my criteria of -3 dB as the cutoff for basslines and this spectrum shows 18 Hz.TimpBizkit wrote:Missilecrisis, Whiz Khalifa - On My Level is only 31Hz lowest bassline unless there's some infrasonic rumble on there somewhere.
20 Hz sounds like a lorry shaking the building or that sound you get when you open a car window at speed.

Keep it level guys. This is niether a thread to point out discrepancies, nor is it a playlist posting board.MissileCrisis wrote:I have a pair of MFW-15's, I know what 20 Hz is... Stick to linking to material you've actually put through your own BF gear and feel others might find noteworthy.
If the two of you want to enter into discussion about the technical merit of a particular recording, start a new thread.
