I spose you're right, when about 1/5th of our entire population is in 1 city
Bas and TH, thanks fellas, but there are others that have set the bar IMO.
Nim springs to mind.
They do look "more" pro with grills.
You're welcome to use any of the pics if you require them for the sales page Bill...

Nice look Grant.
Are the covers held in with Velcro? I don't see any fasteners. And there's no stiffeners in front of the tweeters, they surely don't rattle when the wedges are turned up.
I only ask because I like the look and I'll likely do the same type of grill for mine.
Thanks Grant. Excellant build.

Chris:
Thank you, the highest compliment is when someone wants to copy what you have done
There's no velcro.
What I did was cut the frame pieces, assembled 1 side and top and bottom with PL and screws. Then trimmed the top and bottom to length for the remainding side, which was PL'ed and screwed, then left to set.
Cut the grill to size. Predrilled and countersunk 3 screw holes per side or top, angled slightly (so that inserting the screws would not mess up the paint on the grill), on the inner edge of the frame, so the screw holes go into the sides of the cab rather than into the front face of the frame.
Attached the grill with screws and washers. These screws came through the front side of the frame. Cut off the excess with angle grinder. Bonbo'ed any deficits in the frame after doing that.
Hung the frame/grill on a bit of wire and rattle tin painted the grill. Front and back then flipped it 180 and went again. Left to dry.
Then sanded the frame and painted with the same paint I finished the cabs with.
Inserted all the screws through the frame into the cab. Got out the paintbrush and went over the frame again, including the screws heads.
Hope that all makes sense.
edit: forgot to say there is foam strip down the front edge of the array mounts. You can see it quite clearly in the first pic of the three, and it's only purpose is to make sure there are no rattles.
Another edit lol: The mounting plate for the badge is made from 2 pieces of 1/16" aluminium plate, cut to size. Drilled through in 2 places with a 3/16" drill, countersunk the front plate. Used countersunk head 3/16" screws (so the screw heads sit flush) and nylocs.
I put some masking tape over the plate so it didn't get painted.
Double sided tape on the badge, peel and press...
Cheers lancemhorsley

I'm accused of liking my tss tss toooo much, but the sensitivity of the tweets wired parallel is over the top for me!
So quickly did the same to one and two.
I am beyond my target date to finish these, but they are done 2 days before being required for use.
Here endeth a fairly intense period of builds.
Testing the WH8's today, my wife said "they are just so clear, but there's no tss tss". It's true
I now have (absolutely amazing) FOH and foldback...
Thanks sooo much for posting and linking your build thread for us. I am in the process of building 2 wh 8's with the delta pro 8a drivers and also would like to paint the tweeter arrays. How did you prepare them for painting?(do you have to remove the elements from the back to do this ?). also a newbie question about forums here: i am having problems posting pictures on here, when i try to it says the image is too large to post. How can i get pictures to post on here ?

Curious about the grille material, is it just hardware store bought expanded metal?
