Looking good Phil. By the way, can you put a space between the images ?('cuz my mind gets confused). Are you putting in two 1/4" jacks as well as the two Speakons?

We use two different amp setups one is speakon, one is 1/4 so I needed both. I didn't want to mess with adapters. I am hoping to paint this week end and then start the assembly and testing.
Then I have to make a final decision on the subs I need and get them started. They should be easy to build compared to the DR 250.

Hi guys, I am making my finial choice on subs, I origianally thought a tuba but some of you think titan 39. And I am leaning in that direction. Can I get buy with the narrower version 14" or should I go wider?, and what driver set up will work for our smallish settings.
I am spraying my DR 250's this Saturday afternoon. Since the weather is not cooperating I'll cover everything with plastic and give it a go indoors. I'll open the garage door, turn up the heat some and give it a go. I am hoping to use them April 18th at the coffee shop.
Thanks for for all the help in the forums that you guys have added. They were life savers on several levels.

A pair of 14" wide w/BP102 won't keep up with your DR250's. But if your events are small enough that you can throttle back the DR250's by 3-5dB and still get what you need out of them, you'll have a good match. If you can v-plate and wall/corner load the subs, you may not even have to hold back the tops. Of course, my disclaimer is that I'm not basing any of this off charts or numbers--just off the fact that, until recently I owned that exact same setup, and that's how I ran them. :)

Thanks for the response guys, I just received the plans from Bill and I am considering T39 - 16" with one of the economical 12" drivers. Do you think it is worth the upgrade over the T39 - 14 " with a 10" driver ? Phil

Hi everyone, I am in the final steps. I have primed the joints of the cabs and with some final sanding the duratex is next.

My shop is a little dusty and I need to do a little light dusting.

My wife suggested a shop vac and a mop, but real men have there own way.
Only one more tool to use.

Wish me luck. Phil

Best shop broom ever. That's how I do mine, when it gets about ankle deep.
Also works for blowing sawdust out of cabs after completion.

+1. The first time I blew mine through the throat of an unloaded DR250, I got quite the shock when everything that was inside the horn blew right back in my face!

Ya I should have vaccumed it out first, Im still spitting saw dust,
I primed it with a flat black primer from rustolium. I'll let it dry over night in a heated room. and then the duratex.
By the was the duster is two speed.

It was much easier than I expected. I read all of the links and suggestions. Thanks to everyone who helped.
35 on the compressor, smallest nozzel and light first coat. It goes on quick so watch it. I used a spare piece of wood to get the stetting. Trigger opening is a little less than half way on the gun, Short trigger plulls and keep the gun moving! I'll put the finish coat on when it is dry,, Just passing time watching paint dry. Phil

The breaks is over, the final coat is drying. I am sooooo pleased with the outcome. This coverage is great the tecture is consistant and it looks :loler: professional. I'll give it a day to dry and start the assembly, I want to hear these boys.
Image

It dried for about an hour before putting on the 2nd coat. I put on a thicker coat making sure every inch was covered. Painting these on a speaker stand was handy I stood in one spot and just spun the cab around. Good light and the same perspective made it easy to get each surface all the same. There are no cracks or separation any where. I think they are keepers. See you guys in a couple days with assembly pictures Phil
