Very nice. You work so neatly and quickly...I'm jealous! What are you doing for jacks? Where are they going?

Yeah you don't get to say that, he's making a lot of us look bad but certainly not you.

miked, I am putting the jacks right about the same place you are: centered 12" down the back.
Everybody, I have no intent of making anyone look bad. I took a couple days off the other week to jump-start the build and I have been riding the high ever since. I need these for a gig on the 21st and I just might make it! Unfortunately, the money will run out before the BB does. I will have to wait another month or so to finish the OT12s, but I want to flesh them out in the meantime. The only gloating I intend is toward a particular smoking duck!
Thanks for the compliments folks, it really gives me a boost.

No worries, draehn. We just have a habit of busting the chops of those that glide through a build. But it is good-natured ribbing. We're all friends in the same boat here. And we know you didn't get to the skill level you are now without making a whole lot of firewood along the way. You've earned the right to a quick, clean build.
Continued good luck to you! And keep the pics coming too.

Home sick today, but couldn't resist finishing up the flanges on cabinets 3 and 4 as well as panel 11(bottom angle). I painted the throats of cabinets 1 and 2 Sunday afternoon. Getting ready for the great 'second side' adventure on Thursday night.
Time for a nap.....

Couldn't help from going out to the shop again before bed.... Last two sets of 6/10 braces in.

This is pretty cool with everyone building-off at the same time.

Ah, now I see your brace jig! What a great idea. /stolen Just in time too; I do my 6/10 braces tomorrow.

Er...I don't see any clamps holding that strip of wood in. Double sided tape? Shorty brad nails? I think I see two screw holes though...

Yes there are two screws holding it in place. I can actually take that strip out now because the bottoms of the braces are screwed in, but I'll wait until tomorrow.

Cool, thanks. Did you toenail the tops of the braces in, or is that weight resting across the board taking care of it?

Started putting the second sides on cabinets 1 and 2. Had to chase a tiny bit of "Outt-o-square" around here and there but finally got them to submit. Good squeeze-out all about. 1/16" here and there will disappear during finishing.
Taking a short break after the first two. Even when it goes well there is still a great amount of mental anguish involved!
Don't freak out: The big black circle is the rubber cup I keep my screws handy in ( called a fernco cap fitting).

I promise to get better pictures later
