Just rolled on with a cheap 6" roller. It dries to fast that you can start the second coat as soon as you finish the first one. I think the key is to get flat black. I'm sure anything glossy will take longer to dry.

Got two good coats of duratex on today. That stuff is so amazing.....closed the lid on it just at a year ago. Not a dry spot in the tub.

It is so easy to roll on, I couldn't imagine shooting it would give any better results and my cleanup took all of two minutes....and that's because I actually cleaned the roller so I can use it again when I finish the new v-plate, Usually, I just throw it away.

Need to start breaking in the drivers....may work on that tonight. Over the next couple of days, I'll put on the casters, jack plate, corners, etc.

Yeah I too opened up a year+ old tub and was surprised to find it was still perfect. Need to order some more soon though, a T60 eats a lot of the stuff.

So, what's the minimum break-in time on a 3012LF? It's being going for 12 hours with 10 volts at 30hz. I did 24 last time.....was that overkill?

I'd kinda' like to button these up today.

12 hours should cut it

I agree. 12 hours @ 10V/30Hz is sufficient. Button those bad boys up and let'er rip! Post pics too!

I'm gonna' let 'em run until I get everything else finished I guess. That'll put a few more hours on 'em.

Good timing.....that's next up on the hit parade.

This morning I finished up with the hardware. Corners, casters, and jack plates.



I guess it's time to drop in the drivers and put on the access covers.

Wow, you really did a great job on them, Bruce. They are sweet-looking. I hope mine come out half as good. Quick question: Any particular reason you went with the deep-dish jack plate vs a standard one?

When standing up, the cables hang a little nicer......that's about all I can think of....that, and you can put 'em closer to a wall.

I guess I just liked that look, so I made these match the first time around.

How's that for a real informative answer?
