Would you consider a Simplexx10?
I like the idea of putting the speaker cabs up in the corners.

I would test an inexpensive cab on an inexpensive tripod to verify the effect is worth the effort. Additionally, when multiple systems are playing different content all at the same time, it will help reduce bleed by high passing the lows out of the speaker. Not something I'd normally recommend, but if you've got 3 classes going at a time, it could do wonders in reducing the spill, increase the intelligibility, and keep the coverage areas more directional.

Since they all use bluetooth, I'd even consider something like this bluetooth capable PA speaker, which has the ability to EQ the bass down in leu of a high pass crossover filter. Not having to have outboard amplification and signal processing for three separate areas would really simplify the situation too, while reducing costs at the same time.

The issue with using something like that is that he wants to install them permanently and you WILL have to occassionally get a ladder to reset the bluetooth pairing - like everytime a different person wants to connect with their device.

A wired solution with a mixer or some kind of input device will be much easier to use. You want something that is idiot proof as you'll have people with no knowledge of systems using it. Just give 'em a place to plug in and a volume control.

I tend to agree with Tom on the Simplexx 10. Much easier build than the Jack and should do the job nicely for the use he describes.

I never considered the Simplexx10 but now I am! They probably don't need the output of a Jack now that I think about it and I could get the Simplexx done much faster. Thanks for the suggestion!

Completely agree with going wired vs a powered bluetooth speaker. The other issue with the bluetooth speaker is I don't want to mess with running power up there. I'd much rather deal with low voltage speaker cables. Plus, they do occasionally want the ability to have both sides of the small ballroom play the same content when the curtain is open so a small mixer with pan is a must I think.
