God damn those look amazing.

Question about your jig with the mitre saw. How are you holding the piezo down when you saw off the edges? I was thinking about use that method instead of the table saw.

Absolutely be Careful! I don't recommend this, but I was just holding down the Piezo with my hand. :chainsaw: I would advise making a clamp type fixture, for holding.

Finally sprayed on some Duratex. I used my HVLP Spray Gun, the same gun I would use for painting cars. Spraying for me was faster, and with more consistent coats. I have painted a few cars in the past, so spraying Duratex was something right up my alley.

I had painted these cabinets with 2 coats of Flat Black Latex first. Then I had to find a way to get the cabinets up and be able to spray the outsides all in one shot. I just used double stick tape, and placed scrap pieces in each corner. You will notice the mouth opening flanges are not painted. This is where the Grills will go, and I could have sprayed Duratex here, but decided I wanted to have good contact with the Black Carpet "Rat Fur" and Contact Cement to adhere to the wood. I think next time I'll just Duratex everything, I really don't think it mattered :noob:

I used the Roll On Duratex, and simply mixed it with water. Ratio is 2:1. I used 16 parts Duratex and 8 parts Warm Water. I used just about 22oz of the mix for all 4 cabinets, Duratex went a long way.

I set my Spray gun to normal settings, Just get this mix to atomize, high pressure. When spraying water based, be careful not to spray on heavy coats, doesn't take much for a coat to drip and run. So I laid on 4 medium coats.

To get some type of texture, I used the "Splatter" method. Lower the pressure, and add more product. Just try and get the gun to shoot out big drops of mix. After drying, about 50% of the splatter shrunk back, some of the smaller splatter even flattened out and disappeared. Not the Roll On Method, most have used here, but its fine with me, won't win any Ribbons at the County Fair :) Here's is a closeup shot.

Don't worry, you want to see mine at the moment - absolute pigsty and can't re-organise at the moment as Jason has his business in there as well.
