When you get your table saw home, replace the blade with something better. I use a 60tooth Freud blade for everything, and I love it. No amount of $$$ spent on a better blade will be wasted (but stop before you double the price of the saw).Tim A wrote:Table Saw: Get one with table extensions, 10" blade.
Your first project should be a table saw sled! Bill's plans are fine, there are also other designs in books about using the table saw. I also recommend a "panel squaring sled" for the table saw. This is extremely handy for cutting angles on panels.
Your second project should be the straight edges that are in Bill's plans.
Your third project should be a cutting guide for your circular saw.
If you saw is too heavy for you to pick up by yourself, then your fourth project should be an outfeed extension support for the saw. You want something large enough to catch a 4ft x 8ft sheet of ply that you have cut in half. If you can pick up the saw, then you need to build a cutting guide for a circular saw to cut down full sheets of ply.
At that point, you might be ready to start on speakers.
