Enjoyed more than a few Tui's while wandering around New Zealand. Don't think I have ever enjoyed a Fosters.
(OK, OK, they're not that bad...but I preferred XXXX or VB)
I know - the reply is off topic, but I did learn a few really good ideas in the previous posts that I need to file away so that I remember them once I get to start making sawdust again.
Still trying to get moved and get the old house sold.
Still at the "more questions than sawdust" stage, but learning something every day I visit...
Going to have to come to Tim's defense here. Granted that it galls me a bit that Foster's is sold as an "import" although what we get here is brewed in Canada. Still, it is beer and beer is good. Tui may be better (haven't tried it so I don't know). My personal favorite beer is Rothaus, which is only available in SW Germany. I can't have one of those tonight, but if someone slaps a Fosters down in front of me, by Dios, I'll drink it!
I can't abide any of the usual American brews, though the microbrews are OK. Canadian beer is far better. My favorite is Moosehead, though sometimes the antlers hurt.

It's has always struck me as funny that there are very few large breweries in Germany. My favorite beers are made in tiny little breweries. Most beers are regional and you rarely see the brands we know here like Becks. It used to be that way here too...alas.
