I'm using some "cabinet grade" stuff now due to local availability. My demands are low so it's "fine" <-imagine a woman saying "fine" but I've also used some of the sweet 9 ply 1/2" stuff and there is no comparison. A little extra effort, a little extra $$, but like 1000% worth it.

I recently bought my first driver, that I will build my first T48 with. It is an RCF L15P400, the spec sheet you can find here: http://www.loudspeakerdatabase.com/RCF/L15P400.

The specs are in range for the T48 cabinet according to the plans, so I cannot wait to hear them! Will start building one, if that went well I will build three more

It should work well. The Qes is on the low end of the range, so sensitivity from 35-40Hz is a few dB lower than the 3015LF, while sensitivity above 40Hz is a few dB higher. The suspension is a bit stiffer than the 3015LF, so it can use the same 40Hz high pass and 60v limiting.

Alright I see, is the few dB a significant change? Or is it still going to pack a good punch?

It's not significant enough to hear it. As for 'punch', that doesn't come from below 40Hz, it comes from an octave above that.

Oh yeah, I know. But since you said 35-40Hz I thought there might have been a dip there, but I probably misunderstood. Thank you for clarification, Bill!

Hello! I am going to build my first T48 in a few days. Waiting for the wood to get delivered, it will be baltic birch.

The Fs of my driver (RCF l15p400) is 36Hz, so if I am correct I won't need the chamber reducers right? I am planning to build two to start, but definitely want four as soon as possible (I will wait a bit, because of my budget). I am asking just to be sure, because it potentially saves a tiny bit of wood.

Build one first so you can get into the groove and optimise your build process.

That is exactly what I am doing, sorry if it wasn't clear from my post. I am not planning to build two simultaneously.
