Who has experience with the mini dsp. I see a main board, a input output connector board and an optional interface board to allow more controls via PC . What is the least I need to just do hi and low pass

You can't use it with your receiver to high pass. That would require the ability to insert it between the pre-amps and power amps.

I am using an external amp for the sub. The LRC and surround is being processed by the Sony. I just need to process the sub

It's not user friendly, because the instructions are crap. But I found other subs that use the same control app and their instructions are OK.

For an old guy I'm falling into bad habits.

Order the Parts Express Dayton Audio device, A little more than I hoped to spend but it should do the trick. 150 Canadian with tax and shipping. The shipping was as much as the unit.

Got the unit and the learning curve is a bit steep due to crappy instructions. But it does the trick.

Works well with iPad but android phone won't seem to connect.

This review and instructions are quite good compared to the instructions with the unit.

I ended up using the instructions for the Earthquake Sound MiniMe DSP, which uses the same software.
