Re: TLAH Pro based cab
Thats embarrassing, called the guy working on them with me at the time (not anymore) to talk about it & we went over for a look.... there's not 2 sets of braces, it should have three. Not good, just read Harleys post on sawing a cab in half too.

Yea, nice one ay. Now where's my rock to hide under... wondering if I should now peel off one side and fit braces, or make 4x 1x10inch T30's, either way the cabs are worthless really left as they are. Watch for my new build thread
"read the plans properly you d--khead". Seriosly though, I'm heading to the shed after dinner, was having a lovely day too!

not worthless.... if it makes sound its not worthless. that being said follow the plans! I know the braces are annoying, but they are in there for a reason lol.
thankfully, since its the lab 12 version, you should have the reducers in place, thise is gonna add som good structural rigidity to the driver chamber at least.

If you used a multi tool, you could get both sides off and add a brace each side. The only problem would be if whoever built it left screws in which usually are made from hi-tensile steel so you may go through a couple of metal mullti too blades. Using the multi-tool means a nice clean cut that can be easily glued back after.Keryn O'Shea wrote:Thats embarrassing, called the guy working on them with me at the time (not anymore) to talk about it & we went over for a look.... there's not 2 sets of braces, it should have three. You may have to cut an aceess cover out one side to get to the inside braces to remove one of the sides, but again - the multi-tool is your friend. If you mess the side up, then just get another sheets of ply and you're good to go.
I wouldn't hesitate to do that, it's nowhere near as nightmarish as you think

Re: TLAH Pro based cab
Ok so, now the subs are sorted, looking for values as to the 3.5khz filter for the woofers? Tried the calculator for all types of 2nd order, for a match to the piezo filter in the TLAH pro plans, I might be blind tho. Should the values of the caps & coils be the same value but just swapped between the polarities?
