Around 8-12 volts is what you should be using.
It not's worth arguing about but...
I have not seen any advantage to 8 - 12 volts. It doesn't speed things up ( as per my experience and impedance measurements ), it's just noisier.
Indeed, since I acquired the WTII, I've found that low level at low frequency does the job - without a lot of loudness.

Its hard to quantify if breaking in works or not as I have never done direct comparisons, only based it upon hearsay evidence that it was worthwhile. Others say its a complete waste of time.....

Clearly the voltage increase gets the driver pumping up and down a lot more with 8-12volts than 2-3volts does....Very little actual noise comes from this breaking in from when I have done my 3015 and 2512 drivers for what its worth.

Interestingly enough, I jet set up two 3015LF's @ 30hz & 10.25V and read approx 105db :shock: approx 2" in front of the dustcap.

Ummm... Next time wire one of the woofers in reverse polarity to drop the volume

I mainly go with eyeballing the cone, looking for about a quarter inch of peak to peak excursion. 8 to 12 volts is the usual requirement. I've measured differences in Fs as much as 20Hz before and after break-in, though 5-10 Hz is the normal range.

That 105db had alot to do with being so close one side of the speaker. Backed off by a few feet was about 60db.
