Actually it was too good to be true, and it wasn't lol.I got there and handed the guy 2 $100 bills and he said where's the rest ? Apparently i thought he had said 199 but he had said 499,which is probably more than it costs brand new with a warranty,i passed on that deal,i would buy a DCX 2496 instead.I have a busy weekend,i will just order the DCX Monday. There is also a guy i found that has a DEQ 2496 brand new for $240,i'm thinking about getting it just for the RTA function.

I've heard good things about the Aphex 720 Dominator II, multiband limiter... what are the thoughts on these?

<$300 gets you all that? Nice!
It appears to be a studio/broadcast quality stand alone compressor+limiter... pretty impressive performance for its narrow functionality and very useful if your system is going to be run to its maximum output. I'm thinking about buying one as I'll be purchasing IPR amps whose DSP doesn't include limiting. Probably works out for the better anyway, to have such a specific and important function controlled by a dedicated unit. That's my way of selling it to myself

The downside of a front-panel knob-controlled unit like that is that it is very easy to change the settings....on purpose or by accident.
For $300 you can get a used driverack that will do everything you need and it's safe and can't be accidentally changed. The days of individual EQ, xover, and limiters are over for mains speaker processing.
