A LOT less then if you are stacking them flat on the ground. I had 3 sheets standing vertical over 5 months and it stay in good shape.Jon Barnhardt wrote: Don't you have a problem with it starting to bow in the middle when stored standing upright?

Not really. The problem lies in moisture content. If one side is dryer than the other the dry side shrinks, the moist side expands, and you've got warp.Jon Barnhardt wrote:

So that's how Scotty did it for his Captain Kirk ?Bill Fitzmaurice wrote:If one side is dryer than the other the dry side shrinks, the moist side expands, and you've got warp.

Sounds good to me. Would that make my cabs go together in no time?

I used some of that exact stuff for drawers and cabinet backs for my buddy's shop. It's crap, full of voids, and inconsistent plies.
But good luck to ya if you plan on using it. Hopefully you get better panels than we did.

I picked up two sheets today, and there were minor knot/void. one side is very smooth just exactly like the Arauco I got from Lowes.bzb wrote:I used some of that exact stuff for drawers and cabinet backs for my buddy's shop. It's crap, full of voids, and inconsistent plies.

I had the exact same thought as you when I brought em home.
Let's put it this way, a couple of patches fell out while constructing the cabinets. Luckily they're for a shop, so it didn't matter much. We were using it mostly for cabinet backs so we didn't have to use cleats to hang em. But as far as quality goes, it was clearly inferior to the Arauco I've worked with.
Hopefully you can figure out how to cut it in order to keep the less desirable pieces on the interior.
