If I remove the reducer panel section in the driver chamber how should I set the HPF for lower frequency?

Unchanged. The reducer panel does not change the low frequency corner.

Thought I might add a version definition also. The t48 can be configured with two chamber sizes. The model tested is the large chamber version, which improves response below 40hz. The smaller chamber improves response above 40 hz., up to a couple of db across the board, at the expense of response below 40hz.

Since no one else noticed: bigtune, follow the sub placement sticky, found here. Your placement in the middle of the balcony will suck the bass out. Move the V-plated pair into the corner behind and left of you to evenly bass up the entire building. Your T48s appear to be in the "no-zone" of bass frequencies, more than 2' and between 8-10' from a reflective surface (wall).

This may be, but I doubt that the change is so big that you should change your HPF filter (I will go and look at my plans soon). If that was advisable, I am pretty sure Bill would have steered you in that direction just now. May also come into play when there are multiple boxes and you can lower the HPF anyway. When in doubt, do what THE MAN suggests.

Cheers,

the corner frequency is a function of the horn length, so that is unchanged by changing the chamber volume. Hence no change to the HiPass freq. What is changed is the sensitivity is reduced down near that corner frequency to give you more higher up.

Thanks guys. Well, I don't wanna drink the kool-aid just yet because I live in North Jersey and it snows practically every other day so I haven't had a chance to demo the T48s in open air yet. As for the gig, I didn't need to corner or wall load the T48s as they were pretty loud and evenly distributed with just the -10db lights flickering on the xti. I was looking of ways to squeeze every bit of deep and loudness out of these two T48s with out having to build two more :fingers:

Read your plans. The large chamber version is not recommended for less than four cabs. Want it louder and lower? Wall or corner load.

Use a "hopper gun" like units used for spraying textured cielings or autobody undercoating. Make sure you are using spray grade and not roller grade. I'm not sure if you can properly reduce the roller grade with water for proper spraying.
So let it be written ... So let it be done.
