Didn't think of that. So the new OT12s require handles now, don't they?

Also, are you doing flat arrays instead of melded? If so, curious why you went that route.

This is a Jack. It has a mouth and throat where as the OT just has a mouth. I believe the only change in the OT was the phase plug/baffle. But the OP does say he decided on the OTop so if i'm wrong, i'm wrong :noob:

No, those are jack 10. I had these built, and drivers for these before I got the news that I should be building other speakers for my use. I have been finishing these for a local church and they are being donated.

My speakers for my PA will be OT12. I have not started to build them. Need to finish them by February for the first gig with the new rig. I am hoping to complete a gang of wedgehorns as well.

I will see how far i can get. I have completed a total of 8 tuba24's 2 which also are also going into the Church as well.

If you all follow news, i have been spending all my spare time shoveling snow. We have a storm coming again tonight. anyone know of a good portable heater for a garage.

thanks for all the help. I have used some of these speakers to build some wood working chops.

If you don't get them done in time you can use mine. I've got four older OT12s delta pros -
2 melded and 2 straight.

Oh, well the post below was followed by pics of an in progress build of a Jack, thus the confusion.

thanks for the offer tgator, My "trophy wife" just got me a garage heater for Christmas for me. She also said she would be happy to park outside for the winter, while I finish up my PA.

That's very understanding of her. Heaters are GOOD in MN!

Brr. Heaters are indeed good. It's not been above -4 here for days but I've had to be out in the garage working on subs. Another thing that's good is having a buddy to help. I've always built on my own before and it's kinda keeps the workrate up a bit having someone else there to share the beers, I mean help.
Shame my buddy has vowed to go barefoot for a year to help highlight the lack of democracy in Burma. Chilly toes! Hence the heaters being extra necessary. ;)

He sure picked the wrong year for that :slap: (you may want to offer him an additional hot chocolate from me - if the weather over there is anything like here, I feel sorry for him).

Here's today's forecast for my area.....can't decide whether to wear shorts or long pants to play golf..

Cloudy
65°

You guys need to move south! Of course, you probably get more speakers built since there is nothing else to do for several months out of the year.

6 - T39 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

How is the project? I think you said you had a February deadline; how is it coming together?

I have a very good friend from Dassel. You are in the "real" country out there. Not in the "pretend country" like Medina.

I'm interested in building a system pretty similar to yours. Any chance I could check out a show if you're playing in public?
