A week ago I was hired to run a system in a fair, was 3 systems per side double 12" and 6 subs double 18" to run this gear the owner let me 2 Xti 1000 for the cd, 2 Xti 4000 for mids and 2 Xls for bass, 2 dps, 2 x over 31 band each, 2 effects for voices and instruments, and other rack for monitors, I wonder with this amps. I can easy run 8 O tops/Dr per side and 16 Titans and I can save some gear for spares
Edit, was 4 Xti 4000 for mids.

believe me, it can be a problem. It really shows up things like bad drum tuning and amptone, bad mic technique etc. Some bass drums just dont seem to work through my system, when on a front loaded system you can always get a thump thump, on the titans/DRs, you really notice when the drum has no natural bottom end.

Speaking of poor talent...I just had a show with the polar opposite :D Had some girls from your neck of the woods called The Screaming Orphans. What a totally awesome band to work with...they just absolutely blistered the stage.

With a band name like that they'd have to be good. Imagine reading a list of band possibles for your gig and "Screaming Orphans" appears - you'd be pretty brave to hire them without hearingI would imagine

Ooh interesting! :)

I actually had the opposite too the other night. Was a Led Zep tribute act. Pretty amazing. :) they had previously turned their noses up at the venue due to it's past reputation (pre BFD) but the singer was in a couple of months ago and saw what I have done to the place and the quality of the sound now and couldn't book a date fast enough! Hahaha was great to see him change his mind so fast! :)
