I have owned/used extensively 6 different Behringer mixers and never had any trouble with any of them.
This has been my experience as well, but looking around the net, it does seem like we are in the minority as most people complain of Behringer mixer dead channels or dead mixers altogether. Seems like the mixers might be more of their 'hit or miss' products.
Or the fact that they are cheap and usually bought by VERY low end users might also have a bearing on things. I'd still take one over ANY Phonic mixer (and even some Mackies), but if it's my money Allen and Heath or Soundcraft is as low as I go. (That doesn't mean that I don't own and user Behringer products other than mixers.)

I dunno. Yes, I'm a very low end user. But their cheapie 5 line mixer I bought is unusable, I have to turn the treble all the way up on the Mic and the output to keep voices from sounding muffled.

Not to pick on you, but your reply gave more questions than answers. Are you plugging a mic into a line mixer? (Not sure what type of mixer you actually have but if it has only line inputs and not mic preamps, you won't get usable results). By treble all the way up do you mean the hf equalizer on the mixer? I have no idea how you are turning up the "treble" on the output though. Maybe tell us what you are doing and what you are trying to do would help.

We've been through 5 of the small 6 channel ones. We had gotten a case of 5 from Musicians friend and they were to be used on various 1 time projects. After their initial use they were distributed and used for things like 2,3 person recording sessions, church functions, Halloween, picnics etc. None of them work anymore. 1 I was using as a sub mixer with my Yamaha O1V and it just died mid show! Fortunately I had another in the truck and plugged it in which lasted the rest of the evening. The next day I used it for a circle practice in the garage and bam dead on arrival!

Of the 5 all are now dead within 1 year! They were the Behringer UB1222FX pro ones.

My 2 buddies use Behringer EP2500 amps and simply abuse the crap out of them. Still running after a few years! My best guess with Behringer is you take your chances. Some stuff is great bang for the buck and other is wasted cash!

So far amps, mics, DSPs etc, OK I have a very old set of Gates that rock!

Mixers ,light boards etc. Not so good.
Ever since I replaced sex with food I cant even get into my own pants!

Sorry. The cheapie 5 line mixer I'm talking about is the Behringer Eurorack UB502. Has a mic preamp and 2 EQ knobs on Line 1, but no phantom power. The remaining 4 lines are configured as pairs 2/3 and 4/5 with just level and pan knobs on each pair. There are 2 more EQ knobs for the main outs.

Scenario was that I was piping music directly into a pair of Mackies from an E-Mu 0404. Sounded pretty decent.

We decided to have a woman talking over the music. So we put this POS between the 0404 and the Mackies, and plugged a Shure SM57 into it. Her voice came out of the Mackies sounding like she was talking through a pillow. Completely lost the high end on the music I was playing. Getting good enough sound required turning up the Hi EQ knobs all the way up, and the Lo EQ knobs all the way down on both the Line 1 input and the main outs.
