Lookin' good, mister. Good to hear that you have experienced the efficiency and quality.

Oh yeah! Nice! Just wait until you get them properly tuned.
They're looking really good. Almost complete.

What do you all think of this for a T-48 V-Plate?
Would it matter at all if I flipped the plate over so bracing was on the bottom of it? Can't imagine it would but thought I'd ask.
Thanks!

That fine, but it will still probably flex. I doubled up on the plate thickness by gluing two sheets together with no bracing. No flex at all.

Here's a thread on a way to attach 'em without drilling holes in the subs.

I love this Bruce! I've got a bunch of 1/4" aluminum bar cutoffs in my metal shop I can fabricate something out of. Got an idea for a clamp that'll self align so no need to reach in to hold it even. That along with the alignment blocks will be brilliant.
Gonna use 1/2" premcore for the v-plates. Way cheaper and lighter than BB and still clean and easy to work with. Bonus is it's on sale right now at Woodworkers Source. I'll take your advice and double the thickness. 1 sheet will make two plates just fine.
Thankfully haven't drilled holes yet in the subs!

It's been a while since I updated. Been distracted with a few things but still I've been making progress. In fact, just need to drop the drivers in the last two subs and paint the grills and this build is a wrap.
Then I've got a couple Simplex Wedges to build and some load in cases for the OT-12s.
Some pics,
Laying on the DuraTex. It's a Paint Palooza!!
Here's one of the OT-12's just before I buttoned her up. I know nobody will see it (except now you guys) but I will sleep better knowing it's nice and tidy in there. lol
And here's where we're at right now. Jamming to some Steely Dan Aja. Dayum this sounds good!
I'm pretty impressed with how the OT-12's couple when stacked like that. I was doing some full range testing with them and one box was awfully bright but when I stacked them and they coupled the low end got nice and full. Not like with the subs of course and I know they're not designed to be full range but I was impressed how coupling changed the response.
When I can get these things to an environment where I can do some traces (not my shop) I plan to get some response curves in the different configurations and I'll share them. After the holidays.
Have a great Christmas everyone!!

Got to have the kids visit for the holidays.
The new PA build is "son approved"!

I also ran a couple of shows over the holiday. Smaller venue, wasn't the whole rig. Had many compliments on how good these things sound. Including some local talent that knows what a good PA sounds like.
Kudos to you Bill. Your designs are awesome. I can't wait to get these out for some larger outdoor shows when the season picks up.
