Flaky usually means it didn't bond to that spot. Typically on bondo. Let it cure fully, 7 days. Scrape that spot, then sand it so it doesn't have edges, reapply. It does take some time to blend it in.

So I purchased a Crown xti 2000 amp and it was delivered last week. I downloaded the software, and via my laptop, set my cross over points (45hz and 100hz). It was very cool being able to use a laptop to change settings on a "mobile" amplifier.

By the way, I chose the 48db crossover which I believe means a sharper cutoff. Was it smart to utilize that one?

So I used the Titan 39 on one channel of the amp and my Peavey 15inch cab on the other. I turned it up and it sounded very nice and clean but the Titan seemed a little low. I checked the multimeter and it only read 7-12 volts. I had to triple check it because once again I was impressed by the sound and assumed I had more power going to it.

So I took the Titan off and turned up some gains to where the multimeter was reading in the 20-25 volt range. I connected the Titan 39 back up and Holy Shit it sounded awesome and loud.

I know the Titan with a 3012lf can take voltage in the 50's and Bill says to be safe stay in the 40's so I stayed in the 20's for about 15 minutes listening to different songs. This thought kept coming to mind "man, this is only a 12" speaker?!?!".

So I said let me try voltage in the 30's. The Titan really came to life at this point. It sounded really really good, clean and loud...the entire neighborhood agreed.

I will get into more detail about how happy I am with this subwoofer but for now this is good.

Hell yeah. I'm in the process of purchasing a table saw in order to start a new build for another Titan 39.

A $300 Craftsman for $208.

I still used a circular saw for the first approx cuts. The table works nice for the angle cuts.
