The electronics are Outlaw Audio 990 processor, 2 Sampson Servo 600, L & R main with DBX active crossover, 2 Sampson Servo 550, surround, center, and sub woofer, Sampson Servo 200 rear surround. Sampson is cheap but has XLR connections they are needed to stop hum on the sensitive DR's. Sampson also has a 3 year warranty that I have used on both 600's. The amp rack is in the room behind the TV.

Hello Mud,
First off very nice build, I would have never imagined DR’s looking as good as yours do. I am finishing my basement and I am contemplating either the SLA’s or your DR’s. I see you built three different sized DR’s that are not listed on the site. Are they listed in the plans or did you just alter the 200’s plans to match what you wanted? If they are not in the plans would you mind providing details such as dimension, drivers, the amount of drivers etc? I am also wondering what size is your room. Last question, if you were to do it over what would you do differently?

Hi GeSo,
The different sizes were a fun experiment. Would I do it again ? No. I have learned (the hard way) don't mess with the designs. My room is about 11 ft X 26 ft with a fireplace in the middle. For what it's worth go with DR200's to this day I am amazed at what was missing before in my favorite recordings. You will be so impressed with them you wont believe your own ears. Now don't tell anybody, I am starting DR250's for the front speakers then I will move the DR200's to the surrounds.

Hi tammojsmit,
Mostly about 72 db to 85 db it's not volume that interests me it's the quality of the sound Bill's DR's are outstanding, crystal clear sound.

Hi WiSounds,
The TT's are bottoms of the HT-DR200's on an active crossover and they just happen to be the right height for the DR's to be a speaker stand. A THT would be too large to fit the space I have. My first BFM speaker was a T36 for a subwoofer The WAF was 0% when the TT replaced it the WAF was 100% I even got steak for dinner. In the interest of waking up with all my body hair intact and no mysterious bruises a TT is as large as it gets.

Re: BFM HT System
These look great!
Why did you decide to go with half the piezo's in each cabinet and 2 stacked? Wouldn't there be some comb filtering issues with the spacing between the 2 tweeter arrays?
What are the holes for in the sides of the horn?
I wouldn't mind trying my hand at doing some of these for my home theater. I need something a little more dynamic than my Mackie 824 studio monitors. I'm a little concerned about the sound quality of the piezos for home use. But then again, if they didn't work out in my home theater, I'm sure I could relocate them to my 2400sq ft workshop.
Again, kudos on your build!

In-damn-sane. This is by far and without a doubt the manliest HT setup I have ever seen or read about. It's just... the overkill, man. Wow. I am stunned. If I wore hats, I would tip it to you.

Vinculum,
The half piezo's are all the hi frequency I can stand at 10 feet the full array was way too much for me. I stacked them because I had them and it makes them flatter. The holes are the old style ports. Don't worry about piezo's the melded array is fantastic I tried other tweeters the arrays blew them away.
kynetx,
Thanks, but to me it's not overkill it's fantastic clear sound.
