Help is appreciated of course. I'm asking because I figured there is a wide consortium of talent on this board.
mirolin tub install
mirolin tub install
How do I do it? I'm a bit frustrated
because to get the tub level, I have to raise the front edge 1/2" by the drain end (which doesn't look right).
This is an acrylic tub with a sort-of built in pallet with feet. http://www.mirolin.com/english/home.php ... el=BA54L/R

Tom,
A little odd to see this in this forum
but I'll give it a shot. Not sure from the description exactly what the issue is, but having done these in the past the first step is to lay down a bed of mortar. Get the bed perfectly level to provide a nice solid foundation, and the rest should work itself out.

Build up the low spot with Tile BackerBoard?

Is the floor level? Typically these set in tubs have specific load points integral to the design. The last one I helped with you laid mortar then bedded the tub in the mortar on those points. Not all are the same. If the tub itself is out of level I'd be checking with the mfg.
If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.

Boy, do I understand that....
The onset of diabetes has cured this for me, cuz I can't eat it anymore.
If it ain't steak n' eggs or cheese, I don't eat it anymore. No beer.

If you got raise the whole tub than you got to do it.tammojsmit wrote:How do I do it? I'm a bit frustratedbecause to get the tub level, I have to raise the front edge 1/2" by the drain end (which doesn't look right).

Also if there is no skirting infront of the tub you will need to leave a 1/4" for silicone in between the tub and what ever finish you want on your tub surround.
You just got to think of it all at once and it gets tricky. Take a deep breath and pretend you are building a DR 200 for the first time
Good luck and I will be here until I got to leave for my gig at 2:45. I will check before I leave incase you are in the middle of it now.
The tub should of came with some instructions?
Drumming is a way of life.

Re: mirolin tub install
Type-II is trying to get a foot hold.
I put myself on carb-free on June 1, but A1C are 8+.
My new contract at Intel gives me vigorous walking time... I'm getting 3 miles every day. All indoors, too.
I've only done one mortar bed install, and that was for a custom shower stall pan.
It was pretty straight forward. Lay down the mortar bed, level the pan. Wait until it cured.

Re: mirolin tub install
Thanks for the ideas! I took a look again with the level and found that I am at worst almost 1/2 of a bubble out along the front. Along the back is fine (bubble just past the line) and same goes for both sides. I talked with a couple of people and they both said that I am fine to carry on. So I guess that is what I'll do. (the SUB-floor
is at the same angle as the tub front)
