I dont want a 3/4" chunk wood to deter away from the "flush," look
That 3/4" introduces diffraction issues as well.

Well I hope I can do it my way and maybe put a bit of a round over on the edges.

I also hope that by doing it my way I dont cause to many diffraction issues. I want it to look awesome in my eyes but dont want to screw up the sound.

:idea: Looking at this another way, why not form the channel by using a thinner baffle and glue pieces to either side to reinforce it. should be easier than using a router.
