FBQ 3102
Anyone using the Behringer FBQ 3102 equalizer? I had my mind made up on a DEQ2496, but she veto'd me.

That entitles you to veto her next pair of shoes.DJ Big Ronn wrote:Anyone using the Behringer FBQ 3102 equalizer? I had my mind made up on a DEQ2496, but she veto'd me.

99% of the time, things that aren't already being done aren't being done because they don't work. The other 1% is split evenly between fools and geniuses.

Re: FBQ 3102
Truly aweful.
I really like behringer stuff, I own an awful lot of it but the 3102 fails is several areas:
1) Q. It's far too wide, so much so it blends into the adjacent bands.
2) Crosstalk. It's a really noisy EQ.
3) Linearity. The gain feels and sounds to vary wildly.
The things I like is that it is compact and the feedback lights are useful. Compared to the DEQ there is no comparison, it's fantastic for the money. If you have to buy an analogue EQ, don't go for the 3102.

Anyone have a DEQ2496 they are willing to part with for a reasonable price? I may be able to beg a little more change out of the wife.
