Beg, Borrow, Or Steal the Money for this.

#1 Post by LelandCrooks »

I've been lusting after a cabinet saw for years. My partner has one. Got an email from my brother with this special. These guys are the only seller I can find that has any left. I really didn't have the money, but I bought it anyway. It literally is a 2k saw. $895 Freight PAID. :noob: :noob: :noob: :noob: I'm a dealer, and cannot approach this price. Limited quantities.

..which goes to prove that list prices are just a load of :bull:

When I had my blind manufacturing business, all my competitors had "List Prices" and offered 'never to be repeated again 40%...45%...even 55% discounts'....every 2nd week

But I digress. A great purchase Leland. Good table saws are worth their weight in sawn off limbs

The sale must be over. It was pretty short.

I have had the older model Jet for about 15 years now. They are solid and well built saws. If it is like mine It can be wired for 110 or 210 too. All of my friends have Delta but the saws are almost identical but it was over $500 cheaper back then. I bought a good Forrest blade and it cuts great. Jet's fence is really good too. You are going to love that saw. Phil

It's an Axminster.

I gave the saw a good look yesterday and it looks like a small electrical fault. At the end of the day, it's a motor and an on off switch! Nearly bought a JET too!

Out of warranty by 6 days I take it?

Just start taking apart til you fix it or make it worse. That's my philosophy. :ugeek:

+1. When faced with the prospect of having to get a new one anyway (or pay a repair person almost as much as it would cost to get a new one), you've got nothing to lose.

I'll see what they say first.

Yep, a whole 6 days out of warranty.

On Monday I decided I was going to build some DR200's for a gig on Friday. Just need to put on the reflectors, backs and driver covers and they are finished (except paint!) I think I could have finished them yesterday if it hadn't broken.

2x DR200's in 10 hours - or would have been :noob:

Must say, first experience with a hot glue gun - fantastic!
