Sheet layout
Was wondering what approach is best/optimum for determining sheet layout?
I have been looking for freeware programs but haven't had much luck. Any recommendations? The trial version of Sheet Layout only allows one sheet >_>
Thanks

Re: Sheet layout
The program has some annoying things that don't work quite right.
I'm (slowly) rewriting it, as time permits.
For the most part, it works out pretty well.
Most of the time either the Rip or Crosscut option is the best overall result.
Even with a very fast machine, the zillion-combination method is VERY slow, and yields no improvement.

Fix the damn print bugs. I did 2 t48/30w layout yesterday. Prints it all on one page. Too damn small for me to read, especially in the shop.
Fix the damn save bug. I worked over above said project by hand, eliminating 1 sheet of ply. Would not save, then when it finally did, would not open it again. It will save it's config fine, but not the human int version.
Other than that, it works very well.

Yep, and the multi-sheet layout bug is another annoying thing.
The program works, but is damn clumsy to use.

Before I download this program does it work on MAC computers?
Re: Sheet layout
CutList Plus is pretty decent too. Not free though but a trial is available.
