Blue Aran UK

#1 Post by morocco mole »

Blue Aran is possibly the largest stockist here for Eminence, and while persuing the Eminence line up, found they also sell Fane, and i was intrigued about the Sovereign 10-275. BA's spec says 45hz-4khz ... but when you look at Fane's own website .PDF for that model, the specs say 70hz-3.7khz

Is someone telling porkie pies at BA, as you cant imagine Fane getting their own spec wrong ?

and 4th speaker down at Fane..

Wouldn't you say they were a bit light on the low end Leyland, compared to most of Bill's recommendations on full range 10's...or is this Fane strictly a mid/high mid driver only?

It will be someone just typing in numbers into the website and got the wrong driver.

I order all by bits and pieces from them and I think they are a top rate company.

Not for a while, even if they order. Eminence is out. Production machine is down, waiting for parts from germany. They can't do anything over a 2" voice coil in neo's until it's fixed. I tried to order some 3012's thursday.

I think they will get them in anyway - they appear to be pretty good at getting nice drivers.

I have yet to see any in the UK at all.

I emailed them a while ago and got a response saying something about the eminence GB dealer now being Adam Hall and the warehouse being in germany, and to call the main office. cant remember exactly what was said. I didnt think it would take them this long to stock up (even if the production is down) :(

I emailed Blue Aran about the specs, and according to them, the specs are different for 2008/ 2009 10-275 speaker chassis

Here's the reply :

Hi Peter

I have attached 2 files to this email. One is the original datasheet for the OLD 2008 version, and the other is the full 2009 brochure with the spec for the NEW model.

The website listing for the new model was created from the old template, and my colleguge obviously didn't realise the link to the old PDF was on there.

Apologies for the confusion!

Here's the attachments he sent

http://docs.google.com/gview?a=v&pid=gm ... tion%2Fpdf

New Fane Cat. featuring TSP's for the 2009 10-275. Just over halfway down. The spec is what Blue Aran originally listed on their website. They didnt update their links, so thats where the confusion came in, as the 2009 .pdf was showing a 2008 .pdf. :?

2008 10-275

Well thats cleared that up. Eventually.

Google Docs are only open to those who sign up to be spammed.
No thanks.

Please post somewhere with public access.

The files are available on Fane's site anyway. Having looked at the specs, they are nowhere near as good as the eminence for the application - couldn't find a driver that came close.

BTW, I've never received any spam from Google and it is probably my favourite mail account but I suspect they treat US and UK customers differently - just like the majority of large companies :(

(That opinion may be down to the fact I can get easy access via my iPhone)
