Do you use the O10.5 for bass guitar, Nordskov? If so: do you use the O10.5 alone, and what kind of bass (4 string, 5 string, fretted, fretless, music style)?

Hi AntonZ.
I use it with my 5-string active Sandberg, fretted. I plan on using it as bass monitor on stage, but I haven't yet had a chance to test it live as I just left my old band to start a new with more serious musicians.
I play party music; pop, rock, reggae, ballads etc. A bit of everything.
But untill now it has only been used as a practice cab at home and a bit at rehersal. The lack of low end makes it just too small for rehersals, but I think it will do ok on stage if I back off the lows. The subs will fill in the missing part.
The clarity in the mids and highs is fenomenal. The piezos makes a huge difference.
Although the cabs starts to roll off at 110-120Hz, I get a very good sounding low B. Not earth shaking, but clear and distinct.
I would love to hear a 2x10" O12 or a O15. Oh maaan... :hyper:
I think my next bass rig will be the 2x10" O12. Gotta save some money though, a teachers salary gives the family food on the table but that's it :broke:

Thanks, you've confirmed my suspision that an O10.5 or two will work for me. I play a fretless 4 and fretted 5.

The O10 has now been replaced by the Jack. It has considerably more low end extension.

As a stage monitor I'd go for the Jack too, but for home practise my concern would be how prominent the mid bump is, as my GK only has four tone controls.
Of course I can't tell for sure as I haven't heard the Jack.
But the fact that the Omni10 was replaced by the Jack tells me what Bill will say about this :slap:

I know, but my first O10.5 is nearly finished. I'm not going to toss it away. Haven't made up my mind yet on what to do with the second DL2510 (two in stock, intended to build 2x O10.5 - Jack came along now that the first is in the finishing stage).

Plywood is cheap; better bass is priceless.

Scrap the 10.5 now, get another sheet of ply, and consider how lucky you are that you hadn't finished both before the new plans came out.

Sell the O10.5. I'm too cheap to throw away something that is viable, but obsolete.
My biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my toys for what I said I paid for them.

But my time ain't cheap. Well, it costs nothing, but there is so little of it available for cab building. It takes me a few months at least to build a single cab. Going to finish the O10.5 anyhow, the shell already has two coats of paint and I'm curious to hear it, and compare with my pair of single 10 bass cabs.

I can't see a T39/22" for a bi-amped backline.
Backline is a single cab, and does not have the advantage of multiple horns.
O15sub beats it quite handily from 40 Hz and up.
