Slightly varied XF 212 test report

#1 Post by screamersusa »

Do I ever build anything exact? :chainsaw:
I left my XF212 loaded with celestion lead75's at the club as a backup amp for everyone.
I've gotten 4 requests to build the from owners of Mesa, Soldano, Univox and musicman amps.
I sent them to the BFM site. That should about sum it up.

Personally I'm going to try a slightly higher vertical angle such that the cab will have long throw and short throw based on which side you put on the floor. We tried propping the cab in two positions that worked really well. So far everyone loves it.
By the way, I had an old LAB amp which had the speakers angled in as well but only on
the horizontal plane. The XF cab works better. :hyper:

That's great!

What head did you use for that XF cab?
When you set the cab on the floor was it right behind the guitarist using it or was it off to the side? I just want to know so when I build one for my guitarist we can get the best use out of it.

Did you put it on something cause you could not hear it? I know some venues are quite limited on stage for room. and can't put it a distance away from the player.
Sorry for grilling you but I like to hear from people that use them in live situations.
Got any pictures?

Thanks
