I went to Lowes, got their better grade of interior acrylic latex satin, and had them mix it black. One coat before the Duratex and it came out great.

I use Black oil based floor paint, the tuff stuff!
Then Duratex with a couple coates.

i thought duratex would have trouble sticking to oil based paints...
also any reason to go with exterior paint vs interior? semi gloss of flat?

Latex or acrylic (water-based) coatings can almost always be applied over a water OR oil based primer, but most oil-based coatings should not be applied over most water-based primers.
Coatings will stick better to a flat undercoat, with much less chance of lifting/peeling in the future. If you must use an undercoating with a sheen, sand it well before applying subsequent coats.
Exterior paint and primer is generally more durable and resistant to moisture.
A very good, inexpensive oil-based primer is made by "Kilz", which is available at Walmart. Kilz also makes a water-based primer, but I've had bad results with it.
