Source for twist latches

#1 Post by SoundInMotionDJ »

I am building a set of equipment boxes for all my gear. For the most part these will be 2U boxes that will hold a single amp, or DEQ/DCX combo. I am looking to build something to hold my table top mixer, soound card, etc as well...but that will come later.

Anyway, I want to use twist latches to hold the covers in place. But 2U is not really that large, so I do not want to use a recessed latch - it seems like overkill. I have an old SKB case that uses really tiny twist latches that are surface mounted. With some feet on the boxes I build, the would be perfect. The SKB twist latches are about 1.25" wide and 1.75" long and less than 1/2" thick.

So far the smallest I have found for sale are these: http://www.reliablehardware.com/shoppingcart/item/91

Any other suggestions of a place to find smaller twist latches?

Thanks,
