This project has been a long drawn out battle, taking just shy of two years, during which I had a kid, also went through a disbanding, which had been my main motivation for completing these units. The first one is currently done & the second one still needs the mattress topper stapled in & wired up, but one alone is almost too much for home levels. I haven’t gotten the chance to really throw some power at it yet as my current band has had scheduling conflicts but I’m sure I won’t have any issues being heard.

Currently I’m using a Pod X3 into a Rane EQ then a Rane Compressor/Limiter/Crossover into a Mackie M-1400 and with the Mackie only opened two detents (out of forty) which doesn’t even light up the -20 LED and its enough to shake the house.

I’m glad I installed the attenuator for the highs, as I have it turned about halfway down right now. I use a G&L L2500 which has the potential for being a bit bright and the tweeter is a bit much if not reigned in.

The Pod X3 has truckloads of options to dig through and that has taken a bit of time to tweak, but the Pod & one O15 was impressive enough that I sold my Ampeg SVT III, SVT410 & SVT115 as soon as I got the first O15 functional.

If they sound even half as good as they look, they'll be fantastic. :D :D

I love that color!
What did you use for the grill cover? Looks soft.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Then grille cloth was from ebay, priced reasonably enough that it could be replaced without shedding too many tears. The piping was also purchased on ebay for about .16 a foot.

The original O15 design (non-Tallboy). Carry one width wise through a doorway & you'll understand. (27" wide + (knuckles * 2) = >30"= >standard door opening) :D

Okay, okay, I get the drift on the O15.

BTW, "Fatboy" was not the nickname of the Mark III plutonium device that was used in WWII against Japan. It was actually called Fat Man.

See this site, among others, for confirmation and further information.

Dont even ask where tallboy comes from......I think Bill must be obsessed with big bangs....
The Tallboy was an earth quake bomb developed by Barnes Wallis and brought into operation by the British in 1944
