Covering Omni 10 in fabric?

Helpful hints on how to build 'em, and where to get the stuff you need.

Covering Omni 10 in fabric?

#1 Post by bumpcity76 »

I was toying with the idea of covering an Omni10 (whenever I get a chance to build one) with ACU fabric.

Anyone think it would be pheasable or relatively easy? I thought it would be a neat look.

Just use a good cement that won't soak thru the fabric. It's all about the attention to detail when finishing a cab. What you put on your cab is all about how you prepare it to accept the finish. Leave it "rough" sanded for the cement to "bite" into the wood. IIRC, bgavin finished a cab in Formica! I am considering a fine laminate finish on a pair of SLAs for more SWMBO approval.
