I'm looking for a PL or similar product in Australia, what are all you Aussie builders using? I have tried using standard Gorilla type polyurethane but it doesn't seem to have the consistency of the PL.
Also does anyone know of any Aus Eminence dealers, i've found a beta 10 and delta 12 and 15 but can't find delta LFE's.
Thanks.
Aussie PL Premium supplier
I've used Shelleys liquid nails "floors and decking" it probably doesn't expand quite as much as the PL premium, but I find it to be perfectly adequate, if it didn't have that ridiculous shelleys pricing, Harley over in NZ uses a polyurethane by Fuller, but I have never seen it here.
I've also used a lot of the visegrip polyurethane that Bunnings sells, which I surmise is the same as the Gorilla and Elmer varieties, a lot of people here say no, I say poshmato, it's certainly far superior to PVA woodglue which I would now only use to fake fingerprints

I bought some polyurethane woodglue in bottle form from Bunnings hardware called vise supergrip, it works a treat, about $17 for the large 700ml bottle size, its much easier to use only the amount you need. It messed my hands up good, I will ALWAYS use gloves in future!
Cheers and happy building,
Geoff

I used it to try but found it was no good where after gluing one panel to another, you needed to tip the work on the side to do something else. That glue was like treacle and it just ran away from he joints, especially where you could not clamp real tight.GeoffBass wrote:I bought some polyurethane woodglue in bottle form from Bunnings hardware called vise supergrip, it works a treat,
If you have an Australian branch of Holdfast there - get a box ( 12 ) of Gorilla Grip Express, it's about the best polyrethane PL type glue you will get in Australasia
