Piezo finish
Just a quick tip for finishing your piezo's after sanding. I dampened a rag(lint free) with automotive brake cleaner and wiped the whole front down. It melts the ABS just enough to restore the shine. I'm sure MEK and other solvents would work, I used brake cleaner because thats what I had on hand. Not perfect but look great from 10ft.

Re: Piezo finish
Any runs after cementing with MEK were smooth and shiny as well.wallywally wrote:Just a quick tip for finishing your piezo's after sanding. I covered up all the openings to protect the elements and sprayed the assembled array with textured black spray paint. Looks pretty darn good!

It'd be neat for an 'old-school' look. Chrome corners, handles, etc.coyoteboy wrote:i wonder if anyone here has attempted a metallic silver or nickel kind of finish on the melded piezo horns? depending on the look you want for your cab, it could be cool.
But...I recall they used to offer piezos with a chrome finish years ago. They always looked a bit cheesy.
