Can anyone recommend a book or two that explains how horn enclosures work and what the design factors are?

I don't know of any Intro to Horn books:
I have posted in the Education Links, as much of the technical papers as I could find on horns.
Issues of Speaker Builder and AudioXpress contain horn material as well - including articles by Bill Fitzmaurice
