table "V" plate

You probably heard this in hear some were.

I tried a 8' hard plastic table all folded up and laid it over the subs instead of a V plate. It sounded good, I think. I did not have equipment to test this if it made a difference though.
Has anyone ever tried this? Did it do anything for you?

I do it all the time. I try not to use the plastic tables, tho, as they are very light and tend to rattle and walk. I have used everything from an 8' wooden folding buffet table to a picnic table!

i do plan on making a permanent V plate when time and funds allow. And when my shoulder doesn't hurt so much.
