Neutrik jack and mini-DPDT questions

#1 Post by kesslari »

Looking through my parts in preparation for The First Build...

The Neutrik jacks have 3 leads. I can see which 2 are for the plug (tip and side) - what's the third one for?

Also, I plan to make the tweets switchable, using a DPDT switch.
Will a mini-DPDT (rated at 6A at 125 VAC) be OK for this? If I remember from back in my school days, that's 750 watts, which is more than the drivers are rated for...

Thanks...

If they're 1/4" it's a stereo jack. Ignore the third post. If it's a speakon I don't know.

That switch should be fine.
If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.
