Wrong caps.

Helpful hints on how to build 'em, and where to get the stuff you need.

Wrong caps.

#1 Post by vlad335 »

I upgraded the capacitors in my Omnitops from the 100v to the Dayton audiograde 250v last night. Soldered them in and tested briefly and everything worked.

Today I noticed that I installed the wrong cap values! :x .10 and .22uf instead of 10 and 20uf. (I was wondering why they were so small, LOL) Ordered the correct values tonight.

Just curious... Just what kind of impact would this have had if I didn't discover this error and took these cabs out on a gig?
Currently running:
Four Titan 48's, Six Omnitop 12's, Two Wedgehorn 10's, Omni12 2-10

Also Built: Omni15 Tallboy, Omni10.5.

Which is very important! Thanks for the reply Bill.

Whew! Lucky I discovered this error. I just happened to be looking over my orders from Parts Express and it somehow dawned on me. Thank God!

The next gig isn't until Jan. 12th. I could see these speakers sounding like ass then and me not putting it together, thinking it was something else. This would have been a disaster.
