I highly recommend the gasket material from Parts Express. I had to pull a jack cover last night from a t48. The stuff adheres like glue. Took a wonderbar to peel it away from the cabinet. It's what's in my kits, and is far superior for this application to weatherstrip from the hardware store.
Anybody else tried to sand duratex? Holy crap, it's a bear. Horse rasp finally did the job. Fixing some of my bad spots on the t48 I built in record time for the shootout.

+1 on the piezo arrays. I went around all the edges of my DR250 melded arrays with the gasket tape before installing them. No leaks whatsoever!Tim Ard wrote:I use that gasket material everywhere. Access covers, handles, latches, anything that needs sealing. On my DR 200's I used screws and gasket material for the tweeter arrays, worked like a champ. No leaks and I can pull the banks out if needed.

Not quite sure how i feel about this gasket stuff, I had to fight the urge to keep on crankin' on it as the fasteners seemed to not want to tighten, kinda had that vague feeling like when a bolt is stripping out.
I especially noticed this on plastic handles like this one:

when I finally quit, I noticed that plastic between the fastener holes was bulged out, almost like there should have been more mounting holes. I was really concerned about how the Selenium horns would react to this type of abuse.
