T48's with Magnepans

#1 Post by mtglass »

Thank you Bill. I knew from listening with my low-fi PA equipment that the Titan subs were pretty good. Yesterday I took the subs with associated equipment over to a guy who has an excellent listening environment built around Magnepans and Schitt electronics. We didn't have a ton of time to play around, but listened for a bit and I am astounded that the T48s a novice wood-worker like myself built add a lot to Magnepans. All the credit is due to you and your excellent designs. Your subs hold their own as hifi speakers, let alone PA subs. Impressive! I'm very excited to keep building more of your speakers.

Bills horn sub designs integrate adaptationally well with dipolar speakers. I run 4 xorner placed THT units with Linkwitz lx 521.4 mains, superb, music nirvana.

They should work well with anything, due to the very low THD. Direct radiating subs can produce a lot of harmonics that don't play nice with mains, as well as making them directionally locatable.
