Ended up buying a Bosch 1617EVSPK 2.25 HP from amazon as I had giftcard. Seems to be a standard proven unit thats been around for awhile, reliable.

All right next up is the circle jig..point me in a direction Bill!
That is the exact router kit that I've had for years. I love it. The wooden handles feel great and it's very versatile. Get you a Jasper Circle Jig and you're in business. I tried building my own circle jig first and used it a while, but the Jasper is so much more precise and faster to use.

Shoot.....all this tool talk makes me want to build something.

Whew! Thank goodness I came to my senses.....

I just got through repairing my 40 year old air compressor....that should hold me for a while. I'll stick to fixing gear and building cables. Stuff I can do sitting down.

What jasper jig do you recommend? Model 290 or 200? I think the main difference the 290 can cut smaller (1 1/2").

Didn't know they had so many models now! If you don't anticipate using it every day and you take care of your tools, the regular (not Pro) should be great with a lower price tag. As far as the size holes....I think the smallest diameter I ever used mine for was about 5.5in for the SLA Pro. I can't imagine ever needing a 1.5" hole. And if I do, I'll use a forstner bit.

So, I'd go with the cheapest one that Jasper makes. The 200 looks good and that's cheaper than what I paid years a go.

Ending up finding a deal on ebay (had ebay giftcards) for the "Jasper 200 PRO LTD ": https://jaspertools.com/products/jasper ... -18-3-16-d

Ended up costing $36 for open box, not bad!

Also decided to hop on a sander.."Makita 5" Random Orbit Sander BO5041K"

So now from a tool perspective I've got..

-SKIL Table Saw 10" TS6307-00
-Makita Circle Saw 7 1/4" 5007mg (wired)
-60 tooth blade for 10" and 7 1/4"
-Makita 5" Random Orbit Sander BO5041K (wired)
-Bosch Router 1617EVSPK (wired)
-Makita Sander BO5041K
-Jasper Circle Jig 200 PRO LTD

Ryobi Impact and Drill Drivers (wireless)

From a materials perspective, I've got
-Enough russian birch for 2-3 subwoofers
-Enough Kappalite 3012LF drivers for 3 subwoofers

I am contemplating to buy the "hardware kit" from leland at speakerhardware.com. Would make my life a lot easier as its my first build and wouldn't have to go hunting around...

oh yeah I need to get a speed square! Any other things I'm missing?

I haven't checked if you know how to operate a table saw. If you don't, this video is quite discriptive, and should be followed before cutting any wood. Way back when, I found it quite handy. A properly adjusted saw blade is much safer to use than one that is not..
Do the same for how to use a router.

Please do share the link. First time table saw/router user. Much to learn. Not cutting anytime too soon..need to prepare mentally and align the stars first...

Thoughts on purchasing a saw horse? I dont think the SKIL tablesaw alone is sufficient to rip the larger panels...would need a saw horse to support. Also saw horse can be a work bench to work off of. Below example (but I can get it for alot cheaper)

This might be cheaper if using a circular saw to break down plywood sheets. https://external-content.duckduckgo.co ... ipo=images
After breaking down the sheets into slightly oversized panels, run the panels through the tablesaw to make them the correct size with the correct angles.

Thanks. I ended up buying the worx saw horse I linked. It can be setup the way u pictured actually. Now still deciding on build..
Imleaning on building two more t39 (I have 2 right now) vs t45. More cabs would give a bit more extension. I'm mostly recorded music for my larger 400 plus events. Plus the efficiency of these is nuts..
