I had an idea, and am wondering why I have not seen it done by others. If this is a bad idea, hoping others will talk me off the ledge.
I was thinking about using the cutoff pieces from the sides of the tweeter to reinforce the back, sort of like I have arranged them in the pic (note: nothing has been glued yet in the pic). The side-cutoffs could be glued on and then slurry'd into place using acetone/abs slurry. It seems to me that would make the array a fair bit stiffer. Since I don't have anything else to do with the cutoffs, any reason not to do this?

Re: Melded array reinforcement
Once screwed in place the array doesn't need reinforcement.
