I didn't look at anything other than the thread title, Tuba-18, TT or THT. Anyone potentially interested in a dual loaded Small TableTuba and not in the thread title matter probably wouldn't look at the question, making it an educational opportunity lost. I automatically look at every new post. Not everyone does.

Just a question for the Small Table Tuba.

Got the plans, but dual 8" loaded cabs are not mentioned.

Would a 20" wide do for dual loaded 8" and must I double the braces ?

Between panel 3 and 5 must there also be a brace as in other dual loaded designs ?
Guess I hadn't finished my coffee when I responded to this earlier. :D

I just noticed it says "SMALL" Table Tuba. I haven't yet added that plan to my CD collection, which was purchased prior to the introduction of the Small TableTuba. So, the answer is; twice the minimum panel width (1" less than total width) is required for a 2x8. I don't have the plans, so I don't know what the minimum panel width is for the Small TT. But, if the minimum panel width is 10", 20" is your minimum recommended panel width, making a 21' wide overall cabinet. But...

...Granted they're different designs; for a loose reference, the minimum panel width for an 8" loaded TT or TTLS is 11", yet only 19" (not 22") for a 2x8". AutoTuba is 13" minimum panel width for a single, yet the minimum width for a 2x8" is 19" (not 26"). And the minimum panel width for the T18 is 12, but only 18" (not 24") for a 2x8". So, you may (or may not) have a little wiggle room in your case.

I'd venture a guess and say, if you absolutely can't go wider than 20", a panel width of 19" probably wont be a deal breaker. Wouldn't hurt to get Bills blessing on that though.

As far as the 3 to 5 brace... can't say for sure. But, I'd put it in there anyway. And, yes, double the brace count.
