Note the image of familiar-looking Ashley Protea units halfway through!

Gotta say, Leland, proteas were my go to for years, but dbx outdid the 3.6sp with their venu360. Quite frankly the PA2 outdoes it at half the price if you don't need the third input. For about the same price it has more features and a great ipad app. On the high end, a fully configured protea 24.24sp is close in price to symetrix solus 16 and solus has more features, better control hardware, and comparable app support. Ne8800 is more comparable but way more expensive... For that price you can get symetrix gear with dante and more expandability.LelandCrooks wrote:proteas rock.
Which products are you using? In my experience the PA2 sounds better than the 3.6, but nether Sind as good as the higher end product from either company. The VENU360 is a step up in sound quality, just as the next line up in the proteas are...LelandCrooks wrote:Nothing that I've heard. The transparency as much as the features are what keep me with protea's. I have not heard nor played with the 3.6. It may be audiophile stuff, but the PA2 just doesn't sound as good. Especially the compressors.
